Physical Therapy & Sports Rehabilitation
Targeted rehabilitation to restore strength, mobility, and function.
Rehabilitation & Recovery
Movement Is Medicine
Pain doesn't always equal the problem. Many injuries and chronic conditions stem from hidden imbalances — tight muscles compensating for weak ones, restricted joints forcing neighboring areas to overwork, or faulty movement patterns developed over years of repetition.
Our physical therapist identifies the true source of dysfunction, corrects underlying imbalances, and promotes coordinated, pain-free movement through targeted strength, flexibility, and mobility training.
Working closely with our chiropractic team, we design rehabilitation programs that address the root cause of your condition — not just the symptoms. Whether you're recovering from surgery, an auto accident, a sports injury, or managing a chronic condition, we build a plan tailored to your specific goals and timeline.

Better Together
Integrated Chiropractic + Physical Therapy
Chiropractic care and physical therapy are two of the most effective conservative treatments for musculoskeletal pain — and they're even more powerful when combined under one roof.
Chiropractic adjustments restore joint alignment and reduce nerve interference, giving your body a proper structural foundation. Physical therapy then rebuilds the strength, stability, and motor control needed to maintain those corrections long-term.
At Gentle Care Chiropractic, your providers don't work in silos. Your chiropractor and physical therapist collaborate on your treatment plan, share progress notes, and adjust protocols together — delivering faster, more complete recovery.
The Gentle Care Difference
Why Patients Choose Our PT Program
Not all physical therapy is created equal. Here's what sets Gentle Care apart from mill-style PT clinics.
One-on-One Care
Every session is spent directly with your physical therapist — not in a group setting or handed off to an aide. You receive focused, individualized attention at every visit.
Collaborative Treatment with Chiro Team
Your physical therapist and chiropractor communicate regularly to coordinate your care, ensuring chiropractic adjustments and PT exercises reinforce each other.
Evidence-Based Protocols
Our treatment plans are grounded in the latest research and clinical evidence. We use proven methods — not trends — to deliver real, measurable outcomes.
Long-Term Results, Not Just Symptom Relief
We treat the root cause of dysfunction, not just the symptoms. Our goal is to make you stronger, more resilient, and less likely to re-injure.

Frequently Asked Questions
Answers to the most common questions about physical therapy and rehabilitation at Gentle Care.
01 Do I need a referral for physical therapy?
In Oregon, you can see a physical therapist directly without a physician referral for up to 30 days of treatment. After that, a referral is required for continued care. For auto accident patients, PIP insurance typically covers physical therapy without a referral requirement. We'll guide you through the process at your first visit.
02 What conditions does physical therapy treat?
Physical therapy at Gentle Care addresses a wide range of conditions including post-accident whiplash and soft tissue injuries, herniated discs, rotator cuff injuries, knee pain, ankle sprains, post-surgical rehabilitation, chronic low back pain, sciatica, and sports injuries. Our programs are individualized — your plan will be built around your specific diagnosis and functional goals.
03 How many physical therapy sessions will I need?
It depends on the nature and severity of your condition. Acute injuries may resolve in 6–12 sessions. Complex or chronic conditions often require longer courses. At your initial evaluation, we'll give you a realistic timeline based on your examination findings and set measurable milestones so you can track your progress.
04 Is physical therapy painful?
Therapeutic exercise and manual therapy can produce some temporary muscle soreness — similar to what you feel after a workout. We work within your tolerance and progress gradually. The goal is to push your tissue toward healing without causing setbacks. Most patients feel progressively better as treatment advances, even if early sessions involve some discomfort.
05 How does physical therapy work alongside chiropractic care?
They complement each other directly. Chiropractic adjustments restore proper joint alignment and reduce nerve irritation. Physical therapy rebuilds the muscular support around those joints and improves functional movement patterns. Together, they address both the structural and functional components of recovery — which is why integrated care at Gentle Care consistently produces better outcomes than either modality alone.
